Philip currently serves as a Dronfield Town Councillor, and has previously served on North East Derbyshire District Council and as Mayor for Dronfield.
Councillors discussed the ongoing issue of Fanshawe school children using the Station, both platforms and the bridge as a school walking route. Before the wooden ramp was condemned this formed part of the designated school route for children accessing the school from the heart of Dronfield.
